Marketing and Business Planning
Have you got a business idea and not sure what to do with it? Or are you already in business, but know that you can do so much better?
Marketing and business planning is all about common sense- it's all about asking the right questions. To be successful in your marketing acitivites you just have to know what these questions are.
We believe that marketing and business are one and the same. Our definition of marketing is; " Marketing is making money by giving customers what they want, when they want it", in other words BASIC COMMON BUSINESS SENSE!!! To us marketing is not an add on, it's intrinsic to everything you do in business. If you don't know your customers and can't get your message to them, then how on earth are you going to sell your product or service?
Business is all about getting people to buy stuff (products or services) at a price that suits the customer, and at a price that makes it worth while for the product or service provider to get out of bed in the morning. If for some reason you are not making money then you need to find out what's wrong.
We think there are four main reasons for business failure:
1. You are trying to sell to the wrong people
2. The people you want to sell to aren't getting your messages
3. Potential customers are getting your message, but don't want your product or service for some reason
4. Potential customers are getting your message and are interested in your product or service, but are buying from one of your competitors instead
